Show FBL At Davis hosts 'Christmas Fest' Davis High Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America is sponsoring Davis County's first " Christmas Fest ," a homecraft and gift fair. It will be held at Davis High School, 325 S. Main, Kaysvil-le, Kaysvil-le, on Nov. 25 from 10-8, and Saturday, Satur-day, Nov. 26 from 10-6. "Christmas Fest" is the largest event of its kind in Davis County and will feature more than 100 of Utah's finest cottage industries. These will be primarily arts and crafts presentations, but other types of home-based businesses will be included. Laura Savage of the Home Business Busi-ness Network will organize this event. In addition to handmade gifts, the Fest will have continuous musical entertainment, homemade candy, Greek and Oriental foods, and Pueblo Indian tacos. The Davis High FBLA will also "kick-off' the 1989 edition of the "Neighbor-to-Neighbor" direc- " tory of home businesses which will be published in March. This project won Davis High first place honors at the state FBLA convention and fourth place at the national convention conven-tion in Ohio last year. Anyone with any type of home-based home-based business is invited to participate partici-pate in either the fair or the 1989 directory. For more information call 544-2650. A one dollar donation to benefit the Davis High FBLA will be requested re-quested at the door, maximum $20 per family. The Davis High Orchestra Orches-tra will also be raising money for their upcoming trip to Russia through a bake sale at the "Christmas "Christ-mas Fest." |
