Show 1 : y , - - N Cl c , J DUP meets The Sego Lily Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution Re-volution held their monthly meeting meet-ing on Saturday, Oct. 22 at the home of Mrs. Horace P. Beesley. Two groups of students from the Satellite Program for the Gifted and Talented at Valley View Elementary School presented their history projects which won honors at the state level of the Utah History His-tory Fair last spring. A live performance entitled "Women Who Made A Difference" Differ-ence" was presented by Jenny Cutler, Corinne Gubler, Nicole Jefferies, and Tiffany Allred. These students, dressed in pioneer costumes, gave vignettes on the lives of important pioneer women. A multi-media presentation on "Pioneer Architecture: Building with What They Had" was presented pre-sented by Kendra Busse and Anne-lie Anne-lie Johnson. This consisted of slides of different architecture of the pioneer period in Utah with a taped narration explaining the designs, de-signs, materials, and decorations used by the pioneers in their homes and public buildings. The DAR members and guests were very impressed with the quality qual-ity of research done by these young women and the excellent presentations. presenta-tions. A national defense message on the importance of exercising the right to vote was presented by Mrs . Breck England. Refreshments were served by the hostess, Mrs. Beesley. Eileen Huber, Janet Barrat, Cleo Miller, Afton Burningham and Lyn McGarry, all volunteers volun-teers at the Bountiful Davis Art Center, are busily preparing for'the upcoming holiday exhibit "Sing Noel" which will feature original paintings by 50 of Utah's finest contemporary contempor-ary artists. A gala preview is scheduled for first choice purchasers of the art on Friday, Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m. The Soiree will include entertainment and a buffet dinner. Reservations Reserva-tions are required..
