Show PERC offering classes for parents of underachieves Many parents are frustrated and deeply concerned when students fail to learn and achieve academically academic-ally commensurate with their ability. The Parent Education Resource Center is offering a four session class for the parents of underachieves. under-achieves. This class will explore both learning styles and family influences in-fluences which contribute to under-achievement under-achievement along with some pointers poin-ters on what parents can do. The class will include use of two different sets of questionnaires and will require early preregistration to get maximum benefit from the class. Registration can be accomplished accom-plished by visiting the Parent Education Edu-cation Resource Center at 100 South 200 East, Farmington, or by calling 451-5071. The classes will be held Nov. 9, 16, 30 and Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. They will be held at the Monte Vista Center at 100 S. 200 E., Farmington. The instructor in-structor will be Beverly Dawson, director of the Parent Education Resource Center. |
