Show 1 Mayor Stahle offers idea on trash sort By JUDY JENSEN Editor BOUNTIFUL In what he feels may be just the beginning of trash sorting, Mayor Dean Stahle recommended to the city council that they approve a request by Utah Recycling to pick up newsprint news-print from city residents. The recycling company proposed prop-osed to gather papers on the first trash pick-up of every month. The city would be paid $15 per ton for the bundled papers. Councilman G. Harold Shafter questioned whether or not the new company would interfere with scout troops currently collecting papers as fund raisers. The mayor explained those neighborhoods where the scouts are operating would be off limits to Utah Recycling. Re-cycling. ' 'The cost of handling garbage is on the increase.
