Show Wesley B. Ravsten CLEARFIELD Wesley Blaine Ravsten, 71, of 866 E. 1000 S., died Saturday, Oct. 1, 1988, at Humana Hospital Davis North in Layton of heart failure. He was born March 26, 1917 in Clarkston, a son of John and Bertha Evelyn Nish Ravsten. He married Rita Busenbark on July 4, 1938 in Logan. The marriage mar-riage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple July 8, 1938. He was reared and educated in Clarkston graduating from North Cache High School in Richmond. He had lived in Layton for two years, Clinton for four years and in Clearfield the past 40 years. He was an active member of the LDS Church and had served two stake missions, was secretary of the YMMIA, bishop's counselor, High Priest group leader, secretary of the Senior Aaronic priesthood, ordinance worker in the Ogden LDS Temple for six years and was a missionary in the Ogden LDS Temple Visitors' Center. J He had worked at Hill Air Force "Base as a foreman in the Missile Ground Equipment division before retiring in 1974 after 32 years of service. He also worked at Wood Service Station in Clearfield for four years. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the Army Infantry in Korea. ' Surviving are his widow of Clearfield, one son and one daughter, daugh-ter, David Blaine Ravsten, Glen-dale, Glen-dale, Calif.; Judith Ravsten Peterson, Peter-son, Collinston; 11 grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Roy (Amy) McKee, Olympia, Wash.; Mrs. Leland (Merle) Andrews, Arleta, Calif. ; Mrs. Glen (Lois) Chambers, Smithfield; Mrs. Paul (Alta) Barnard, Perry. He was preceded in death by two daughters, daugh-ters, three sisters and three brothers. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Clearfield Mortuary. Funeral services were held Oct. 5 with Bishop James Barlow officiating. offi-ciating. Family prayer was offered by Kent Peterson; prelude, Diane Au-rich; Au-rich; "He That Hath Clean Hands" by Jolene Iverson, accompanied accom-panied by Barbara Barlow; invocation, invoca-tion, James Peterson; speaker, Julie Ann Peterson; remarks, Bishop James Barlow; speaker, Pres. Milton Flinders; "How Firm A Foundation" by Jolene Iverson, accompanied by Barbara Barlow; benediction, Bishop Earl Johns. Dedication of the grave was by Bishop Paul Barnard with interment inter-ment in the Clarkston, Utah Cemetery. Pallbearers were James Peterson, Peter-son, Dennis Peterson, Hans Peterson, Peter-son, Kent Peterson, Conley Christ-enson Christ-enson and Willis Christenson. Peter Pe-ter Hamblin was an honorary pallbearer. |
