Show To be honored Sat. The daughter and grandchildren of George and Dora Laramie will honor the couple with an open house celebrating their golden wedding anniversary. The occasion occa-sion will be held from 7:30-10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13 at the Utah Community Center for the Deaf, 388 N. 400 E., Bountiful. They were married Aug. 8, 1938 in Salt Lake City. They resided in Salt Lake City until 1955 when they moved to Bountiful. Bountiful was' their home till last June 15 when1 they moved to live with their daughter in Fremont, Calif. i George was employed with the Salt Lake Tribune-Deseret News' for more than 25 years, retiring in 1972. Dora, graduate of Gallaudet University Uni-versity in Washington, D.C., taught at Oklahoma School for the Deaf for two years. She then taught 18 years at the Utah School for the j Deaf in Ogden. ! Both had been participants in va-i rious deaf associations locally and nationally for years. They also served as officers for various organizations. orga-nizations. They have been mem-beis mem-beis of the St. Olaf s parish for 33 i years. GEORGE AND DORA LARAMIE Their daughter and grandchildren grandchil-dren are Celia May, Dora Rose, and Laurence Baldwin of Fremont, Calif. They had another daughter, Bridget Mary Laramie, who passed pas-sed away in 1985. |
