Show W. Affeltranger vice before retiring in 1981 as chief of detectives. He also worked as a security guard for the LDS Church. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Navy. I CLEARFIELD William Emil Affeltranger, 62, of 594 E. 200 S., died Saturday, July 30, 1988 at Humana Hospital Davis North in Layton of aneurysm aorta. He was born Feb. 16, 1926 in Chaleroi, Pa., a son of John Henry and Anna Guzzie Affeltranger. He married Lois Flowers Dec. 8, 1949 in Salt Lake City. The marriage mar-riage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He has lived in Clearfield the past seven years, prior, he lived in the Panama Canal Zone. He graduated from Balboa High School and attended Canal Jr. College Col-lege in Panama. He was a member of the Clearfield Clear-field 5th LDS Ward where he served as High Priest, Sunday School president, Boy Scout leader lead-er and had served as a branch president presi-dent in Panama.
