Show Mini-research park planned near Lakeview By GARY R. BLODGETT BOUNTIFUL A mini-research mini-research park surrounding Lake-view Lake-view Hospital is beginning to take shape with the construction of a large high-tech and general office building. Land developer Scott McDonald said there will still be seven to 10 acres left for development, depending de-pending on how the land-use is carried car-ried out, after the building under construction is completed later this year, scheduled by late November. "We want the public to know that the existing property on both sides of Medical Drive east of Orchard Drive is available for developments other than those that are medically related," said Mr. McDonald. "Medical facilities will be built if needed, otherwise general gener-al office buildings will be constructed." An auto simulation firm which already has two small buildings in Bountiful is planning to move in to 14,000 square feet of the building. "They will be expanding and will be centrally located in one building," build-ing," Mr. McDonald noted. Mr. McDonald emphasized that there is no retail space planned in the mini-research park. The remaining re-maining 8,000 square feet will be leased as high tech or general office space. "Our purpose is to develop and utilize various kinds of office space in Bountiful, keeping as much business busi-ness as possible at home," stressed Mr. McDonald. "There are not many suitable lots left in Bountiful for high-tech or general office buildings." Mr. McDonald is realtor for the land sales. Richard Daems is architect and Interland Corp. is developer de-veloper of the first building. |
