Former Meek Assistant Coach LaRue followed Meek as an assistant at the University of Houston for two years, and three years at SMU (Southern Methodist University). From 1959 to 1966 he served as head football coach at the University of Arizona. Coach LaRue is 43-years-old, married, and he and his wife Betty have two girls, Jill, 17, and Judy, 14, and one boy, Tom, 13. Jim Hanifan, a former all-American end at the University of California at Berkeley, will take charge of the receivers.
