Everybody Every-body ought to get into the act, because cancer is everybody's business and we can't depend on just the check writers to do something abqut it. AIL -.Of us have got to help. Send your contributions to CANCER, care your local post-office post-office and don't forget the checkup or you might be checking check-ing out prematurely. Contributions mailed to CANCER CAN-CER now will be credited to the Milford quota when the annual an-nual Cancer Drive is held in I April. Just hand your money j order stub or cancelled check to j the volunteer worker who calls j on you or better yet, mail your check to Mrs. Grant Anderson, ' local Cancer chairman. With April rolling around, we've come upon spring again, a time for cleaning the attic, digging around those flower bulbs, and painting the window screens. And something else we ought to pay attention to. Along with all this refurbishing, don't overlook over-look the old physiological machine, ma-chine, that body of yours. It's time to check up on your health, we're reminded by the American Amer-ican Cancer Society, which this year is using a catchy slogan, "Fight Cancer with a Check-up and a Check." What this means, of course, is quite obvious. The ACS needs your cooperation in doing two ' : things getting enough money together to-gether to kesp scientists working work-ing on a way to beat cancer permanently, per-manently, and getting such folks as you and me. to go and have a physical examination. Why a physical check-up? Because Be-cause it's the best way to find out whether anything including includ-ing cancer is wrong with you. Cancer can creep up on you quiet-like, and you don't know you've got it until it's got you.
