The program at Minersville was held Monday, Nov. 7, at the Town Hall. A fine program was given, which consisted of group singing led by Mrs. Melba Baker, accompanied accom-panied by Eve McKnight. Clarinet solo by Marlene Baker, for Beaver county, awarded certificates cer-tificates to 57 club members ana 16 leaders. A large group attended the Milford exercises, held day, Nov. 10, in the L U church, and a fine program was given by the 4-H Club members and leaders. The program, which was announced by Mrs. Bernice Smith, follows: Group singing, led by Florence Flor-ence Openshaw. 4-H Pledge, led by Norma Carlton. Prayer, Vanda O'Leary. Poem, Grace Geist. Skit, Lucky Luncher Club. Vocal duet, Florence Openshaw and Sylvia Voorhees, accompanied by J. H. Lofthouse. Piano solo, Patricia Gronnmg. Song, Laneet Bracken, accompanied accom-panied by J. H. Lofthouse. Song, Round Robin Club, accompanied by Marjean Lofthouse. Piano solo, Patricia Wilcock. Talk, "What 4-H Has Meant to Me," Margaret Banks. Song, Cheerful Cheer-ful Clover Club. Talk, "What the 4-H Pledge Means," Sally Killam. Skit, Cosy Clover Stitchers. Duet, Carol Sue Bran-non Bran-non and Jeanette Williams, accompanied ac-companied by Patricia Wilcock. Certificates and pins of completion com-pletion were awarded to 60 club members and 13 leaders. Special awards were given as follows: Pin for "A" rating in County Style Dress Revue, to Geniel Tanner; Foley Food awards to Marion Lofthouse and Frances Walters. Popcorn balls were served to accompanied by her father, Harold Baker. Cornet duet, Bonnie Bon-nie Carter and Dale Eyre. Talk by Vern Wood on trip to National Na-tional 4-H Encampment at Washington, D. C. Talk by .Renee Bradfield on the trip to 1949 State Fair. The Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-H Pledge, led by Dale Myers and Aldene Marshall. Aldene also announced an-nounced the program. Thirty-seven Thirty-seven 4-H members and three leaders received pins and certificates cer-tificates for completing their work. Mrs. William H. Wood received re-ceived a 15-year gold pin with a pearl center for completing her 15th years as a leader. The book "I Dare You" was presented present-ed to Vern Wood and Aldene Marshall for doing outstanding 4-H work. Marlene Baker re ceived a gold medal for being county winner in the canning achievement contest. Jolene Wood and Jane Carter received Foley Food awards. Premium checks for boys who had livestock live-stock in the Southern Utah Livestock Show were awarded at the exercises. A fine program was held Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Beaver Beav-er High School auditorium. Taking Tak-ing part were Gwen Miller, Carol Joseph, Patsy Thornock, Gae Cartwright, Nora White, Nancy Yardley, Marva Carter, Gate Joseph, Claudia Stapley, Clark Johnson, Rayma Hutch-ings, Hutch-ings, Betsy Fillmore and Anna Marie Nielson.
