Show OGDEN LIVESTOCK SHOW STARTS NOVEMBER 13 Ogden Dates for conducting the 30th annual Ogden Livestock Show have been scheduled for November 13 through 17, President Presi-dent George S. Eccles announced this week. Major divisions of the show will be purebred Hereford, Aberdeen-Angus and Shorthorn cattle, fat and feeder carlots of cattle, and exhibits of sheep and hogs. Total premium purse at stake is $25,000, of which ?7,000 goes to boys and girls who enter best exhibits in the junior de-parment. de-parment. Auction sales already dated are purebred Hereford cattle, November 16; prize-winning fat cattle, sheep and hogs, November 17, and purebred Columbia and Suffolk sheep, November 15. Entry En-try notices for participation in any department or class, open and junior divisions, will be received re-ceived as late as October 30. President Eccles emphasized that 4-H club, Future Farmer chapters and Young Farmer members will carry on with their customary full-scale program in the junior department despite the recent first annual Ogden Junior Fat Stock show, held August 3 and 4, which was arranged ar-ranged to further stimulate the interest of youthful growers in i the livestock industry. |
