Show NEWS NOTES FROM MINERSVILLE Mrs. Retha Beaumont, of California, Cal-ifornia, is visiting her father, Mr. Oscar Potter, and other relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Richards and two children are spending their vacation in Minersville. Maurice Gray has purchased the confectionary business formerly for-merly owned by Bishop Ruben i Dotson. The High Priests conducted the Sacrament meeting last Sunday Sun-day evening, with Mr. Floyd Wood and Mr. Delbert Jameson in charge of the meeting. Bishop Dotson announced that the architect from Salt Lake is expected to start work next week I on the new L D S church. Mrs. Vick Jameson is in Bristol, Bris-tol, England, visiting her relatives. rela-tives. She plans to return to Minersville in the near future. Relatives of Sherman Carter were in Beaver Tuesday evening eve-ning helping him celebrate his birth anniversary. Those who enjoyed the evening were Mr. and Mrs. Guy Carter and son Don, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gil-lins Gil-lins and daughter Susan, Mr. and Mrs. DuWayne Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Marshall, Mrs. Hattie Myers, Miss Jane Carter, and Mrs. Cassie McKnight of South Milford. A very nice luncheon was served by Mrs. Sherman Carter, late in the evening. eve-ning. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Marshall, Mr. Jeff Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Marshall left Wednesday for Salt Lake, to receive medical attention. Mrs. Bernice Gillins will attend at-tend teachers' institute this week end, in Salt Lake City. It being the birth anniversaries of Beulah Wood and Vera Carter, Car-ter, sisters, on October 2 and 3, the families gathered at the home of Mrs. Carter and enjoyed a pleasant "get-together." Mr. and Mrs. Dick Davis of Payson were in Minersville over the week-end. While here they were house guests of Mrs. Davis' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Newell Carter. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Pearson are driving a new automobile. Mildred Bonn of Provo was in Minersville last week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Truman Brad-field Brad-field have purchased a new car. Tom Gillins has just returned from Ruth, Nev., where he has been visiting his children. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Burke of Beaver visited here this week. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Dotson is now completed. The house was stuccoed this week, which completes the remodeling. Adlis Nolder returned to his home in Santa Barbara, Monday, Mon-day, after spending several days with his father, Mr. I. N. Nolder. Albateen Roberts and son, Sonny, have just returned from Salt Lake Mr. and Mrs. Keith Guymon and son, of Cedar City, are in Minersville visiting Mrs. Guy-mon's Guy-mon's father, Mr. Bill Bradshaw, and family. North Hollywood, have returned to their homes after spending an enjoyable visit with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dalton. Mrs. Armina Banks is working work-ing at the Minersville Library while Mrs. Gertrude Marshall is enjoying a 10-day vacation. Howard Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Hollingshead, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Robinson and son George, Mrs. Etta Rollins, Mrs. Edith Bradfield and Mrs. Alpie Gillins. Mr. and Mrs. Truman Brad-field Brad-field were in Richfield on business, busi-ness, this week. The couple motored mo-tored to Salt Lake and Mrs. Albie Gillins and Mrs. Edith Bradfield returned to Minersville with them. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Rollins were honored at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pryor, last Friday evening, on their 33rd wedding anniversary. A lovely dinner was prepared and served by Mrs. Pryor. The following enjoyed the evening: Mr. and Mrs. Dan Rollins, Mr. and Mrs. Basil Rollins, Rol-lins, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Pryor, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Price, and the hosts, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pryor. Clarence Gillins' new Packard automobile was badly damaged last Wednesday morning, when it wrecked after striking a horse on the Beaver highway, in front of the farm home of Dr. Macintosh. Mac-intosh. Wayne Gillins was driving driv-ing the car to Beaver when the accident occurred. It was reported re-ported that the horse ran into the road in front of the Gillins car, and after the impact was astraddle astrad-dle of the car's hood.
