Show . I TIGERS LOSE TO PAROWAN AND CEDAR CITY SQUADS The Milford .Tigers dropped a hard-fought six-man football contest to the Parowan team, 42-26, last Friday, and after battling Cedar City on even terms, Wednesday of this week, saw the Iron City huskies eke out a one-touchdown win with but two seconds left to play. At Parowan, the Tigers battled bat-tled the superior team up to the final gun, and Coach. Neal said he "had no apologies to make for the way my boys played that day." Heavier,, and with much i more experience, the Parowan j squad is unquestionably the top j team of the league, but the Tigers Tig-ers played a hard game all the way, and rolled up a larger score against the loop-leaders than any other squad has done this year. At Cedar, after trailing 14-7 at the half, the Milford boys tallied two touchdowns in the third quarter, then held their opponents scoreless until the final minute of play, when the ball went over to Cedar. After three running plays had failed to dent the Tiger defense, Carden snagged a pass on the two-yard line, with but four seconds to go, and fell across for the winning touchdown. Next Thursday afternoon the Tigers play Beaver at Beaver. |
