A dozen of the younger set spent the evening playing games and singing songs. At midnite a hot chili supper was served. NEWS NOTES FROM GREENVILLE By MRS. GEO. A. HORTON Y. W. M. I. A. and Y. M. M. I. A. officers were dinner guests of the Blaine Blacketts last Sunday evening. The table was beautifully, decorated in keeping keep-ing with the season. Santa and his reindeer made a most appropriate ap-propriate centerpiece. Place- cards were miniature Christmas trees. Following the dinner, Santa's pack was opened and candy was served from it. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. D. James Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Scott, Gene Barton, La Mar Fordham, Barbara Ford-ham, Ford-ham, Macel Horton and the host and hostess. Mr. and Mrs. George Baxter called at the G. A. Horton home on Monday. Mrs. Julia Griffiths has returned re-turned home after spending a few days in Paragonah with her sister, Mrs. Army Prothero. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Blackett are in Provo for a few days, visiting vis-iting and shopping. The M. I. A. held a Christmas program and social Tuesday evening. Numbers on the program pro-gram included a vocal solo by D. James Williams, reading by Barbara Fordham, vocal duet by Mr. find Mrs. Farrell Scott, reading by Bessie Fordham and community singing. Games were played and everyone enjoyed en-joyed telling riddles while candy can-dy and popcorn were served. Judy Horton of Milford visited visit-ed in Greenville last Monday and Tuesday. Roy Heslington drove a new Studebaker home last Sunday. He was accompanied by Mrs. Von Beeson and Mr. and Mrs. Harren Shipp. They all re turned to Provo Sunday night,-where night,-where Roy and Warren are employed. em-ployed. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Williams Wil-liams and daughter were visitors visit-ors in Greenville last Sunday. King Morris was in Salt Lake this week, attending a special meeting for tax assessors. Mrs. Dan Barton visited her sister, Mrs. W. L. Walbeck, at Beaver on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Fordham received news on Tuesday of the arrival of their first grand- |
