Stan McKnight of Miners-ville, Miners-ville, who has quite an athletic history behind him, this week was proving to local friends that he is right there, too, when it comes to raising corn. As samples sam-ples of his corn he had three of as fine ears as we have seen in a long time. One of these measured meas-ured a full 12 inches in length, weighed 22 oz., and had approximately approx-imately 800 kernels in uniform rows. TEN YEARS AGO Beaver City people, without local banking facilities since 1932, when their bank, the Beaver Beav-er State, failed, will again be afforded these facilities beginning begin-ning Thursday, Oct. 14, when a branch of the Milford State Bank will begin operations in the building formerly occupied by the defunct institution.
