Show I AIRPORT RUNWAYS DISCUSSED AT SPECIAL MEETING Paving of the runways at the Milford airport moved nearer to completion ai a special spe-cial meeting of "the Milford Town Board Wednesday evening, eve-ning, called to discuss matters with Mr. E. M. Keeley, CAA Operations Officers for the Utah district, and Mr. Earle A. Lloyd, chief of operations from CAA regional headquarters at Los Angeles. Estimated cost of the work is .$55,158.62, Mr. Keeley said, with $34,286 of that amount being be-ing paid by the federal government, govern-ment, $15,436.01 by the state of Utah, and $5,436.01 by the City of Milford. Blueprints inspected at the meeting show present and future "probable development," with immediate work to include a 100x5000 ft. paved runway, a 50-ft. 50-ft. oiled taxi strip, and a 100x300 ft. paved parking apron. Mr. Keeley stated that "We (the CAA are as anxious to get this work completed as the peo pie of Milford are. It is a neces- sary link in the chain of airports for regular and emergency use ; along the various airline routes. We want ot push it to early completion." |
