Show Tigers Lose to Parowan; Meet Cedar City Squad Friday v Milford High School's Tigers swalowed a 24-6 defeat at the hands of Parowan last Friday, and set their sights on the Cedar City pigskin artists, joint cellar-occupants with the Tigers, determined to break into the win column when they meet the Parks City aggregation at Cedar City tomorrow afternoon. The local lads played bang-up football foot-ball Jast week, showing better caliber and more "heady" thinking than they did the previous week against Beaver. Only trouble was, they were : "outfoxed" on the touchdown plays the Doys irom parowan brought with them. All the Parowan markers were chalked up on length-of-the-field dashes, usually on the first play after the visitors took over possession of the leather. The Milford gang played good team-work ball. They played it together, and the Tigers defi niiely are not a "oae-rAaJT" tert. Root, center, dropped back occasionally occa-sionally to toss a pass; Myers did most of the passing, but Max Williams, going into the lineup late in the game, connected connect-ed with a few nice ones, and several sev-eral others were well placed but bounced out of the receiver's hands. What particularly pleased the faithful followers of the Tigers was the quality of the blocking, At Beaver the boys went after the ball-carrier and . of course were "taken out" by the well-'rained well-'rained Beaver blockers. But ist Friday the nearest Tiger to he play went after the interference interfer-ence and usually there was another an-other Tiger waiting to pounce upon the ball carrier. On offense, the kids were good. They racked up more first downs, completed more passes, and all-in-all played a better brand of ball than the visitors. vis-itors. And, except for not being able to quickly fathom Paro-wan's Paro-wan's trick plays, the Tigers probably would have won a 6-0 ball game.
