Show Eugenr S. Wood Services Friday, 11 a.m.f for Eugene S. Wood Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the First-Twelfth First-Twelfth Ward for Eugene Stewart Ste-wart Wood, 61. Services will be under the direction of Don Watts, bishop of the Twelfth Ward. Mr. Wood died November Novem-ber 11. 1969 at his home. Friends may call this evening eve-ning from 6 to 8 at the Wheeler Wheel-er Mortuary and Friday morning morn-ing prior to the services. Burial Bur-ial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. He was born November 4, 1908 in Spanish Fork, the son of James Morris and Jenettie Stewart Wood. Until recently when he underwent surgery and was ill, he worked as a track inspector for the Union Pacific Railroad. He has been employed for 27 years with the company. Mr. Wood practised ventriloquism ventrilo-quism with his dummy and entertained en-tertained various groups here and in nearby cities. He also painted and wrote stories as a hobby. He was an elder 1n the Twelfth Ward. He married Louise Taylor, November 11, 1935. They were later divorced. He later married Bernice Weight Lutz January 26, 1957, in Springville. Survivors include his wife of Springville, his mother of Salt Lake City; children: Mrs. Joseph (Carol I Reed, Green River; Gary S. Wood, Pleasant Grove; Lynn Wood, Provo; stepchildren: Arnold W. Brown, Springville; Mrs. Lynn (Diane) Carlin, Granger; David W. Gunn; Mrs. Daryle (Virginia) Mattinson, Spanish Fork; brothers bro-thers and sisters: Mrs. Carl (Violet) Larsen, Mrs. Randall (Florence) Shepherd, Mrs. Robert (Ellen) Koser, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Melvir. (Dorthella) Dunkley, American Fork; Earl Wood, Provo; Mrs. Arthur (Ruth) King, Ephraim; and Dean S. Wood, Ogden; and 12 grandchildren. |
