Show Author, presentation given to Jeune Mere Jeune Mere Club members met last Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Frank Crandall where they were served a tasty luncheon at the beginning of the club meeting. The program was under the direction of Marie Whiting who introduced Marilyn McNeen Miller who has authored books and poetry. She is an English teacher at the BYU ,and read some of her poetry from her book, "Raindrops" and reviewed review-ed a forthcoming book of hers on the handcart pioneers. Ray Klauck gave a presentation presen-tation which was presented at the UVIDA conference recently in Provo and which depicted the growth potential of Spring-ville Spring-ville City. Mr. Klauck gave a commentary along with the slides which included the BYU Industrial Park. He also showed show-ed slides of the Stanford University Uni-versity Park which the BYU Park will be patterned after and gave explanation of what type of park the new one here would be like. In a business sessiin, the club voted to give the Spring-ville Spring-ville High School band uniform drive fund a $25.00 contribution. contribu-tion. Also to donate to the Christmas package project under un-der the direction of the Red Cross. The next meeting will be a Christmas party for husbands on Tuesday, December 9 at the Social Center in Spanish Fork. Reservations must be made and members should contact Frances Fran-ces Clark. Committee members for the event include Naomi Thorn, Florence Nielson and Mrs. Clark. The club representative on the Utah County Legislative Council will be Margaret Blackett and Naomi Thorn. |
