Show Friends invited to open house following Begay-Halona wedding Friends are given a cordial invitation to attend an open house honoring Shirlee Begay of American Fork and Mac-Arthur Mac-Arthur Halona of this city, Friday, November 14, from 8 tc 10 p.m., following their marriage mar-riage earlier in the evening. The open house will be held at the Senior Citizens Center, East Main Street, American Fork. Hosting the reception are Mr. and Mrs. Junior N. Williamson, Wil-liamson, foster parents of the bride-elect. Attending the bride for the occasion will be Irene Huggard, maid of honor; Vivian Kitchen and Roberta Halona, sister of the groom. Best man will be Ray Newbury and the groomsman, grooms-man, Kenneth Hulce. Sharing in the receiving honors hon-ors will be Mr. and Mrs. Frank Patten of Springville, former foster parents of Mr.. Halona, his natural parents who are Mr. and Mrs. Wallace E. Halona of Tohatchi, New Mexico. Mex-ico. Parents of the bride-to-be are Mrs. Dorothy Begay of McNary, Arizona, and Kurt Begay of Ganado, Arizona. A student of the LDS Church Indian Placement Program, Miss Begay has made her home with the Williamson family for the past 11 years. She graduated gradu-ated from American Fork High School and LDS Seminary. Semi-nary. She was a member of the color guard of the band, and as a member of the school' DECA Club attended the national na-tional convention of the Distributive Dis-tributive Education Clubs of America held at Atlantic City last spring. She was chosen as first attendant to Miss American Ameri-can Fork in the spring beauty and talent pageant. She is attending at-tending Brigham Young University Uni-versity having received a Navajo Nav-ajo Tribal Scholarship. Mr. Halona has also been In the Indian Placement Program for the past 11 years. He graduated grad-uated from Springville High School last spring, where he was active in track and basketball. basket-ball. He was chosen the "Most Preferred Man" of the school, and was also a member of the student council. While living in Springville he has made his home with the Frank Pattens, Loyd Birds and Howard Stevens Ste-vens families. He is attending the BYU on a U. S. Bureau of Indian Affairs Schoolarship.
