Show Foundation reports on Utah County property tax load mills up from 6.50 last year. The county levy has remained relatively unchanged for many years. Utah County taxpayers can be proud of this record. Cities and towns will impose $2,465,487 in property taxes this year. This is 19 of the entire county property tax load. This is an increase of $330,173, or 15 over the 1968 figure of $2,135,314. It is $919.-005, $919.-005, or 59 above the 1960 rate. Provo City is responsible for $1,088,981, or 44 of the total charged by cities and towns. Other levies vary greatly great-ly from 26.00 in Salem, and 25.50 in Pleasant Grove to 7.75 in Genola and 5.00 in Cedar Fort. Special districts will take $210,088, or 1.6 of the entire property tax take this year. This is an increase of $57,910, or 38 over the 1968 figure of $152,178, and is $128,233, or 156 higher than the 1960 load of $81,885. Central Utah Water Conservancy District accounts ac-counts for 80 of the load. Assessments The total tax load is determined deter-mined by the over-all levy and the assessed valuations. From 1968 to 1969, valuations jumped $7,798,852, or 5; from $161,-029,977 $161,-029,977 to $168,828,829. This year, Utah County taxpayers tax-payers will pay $13,193,661 in property taxes. This is $969,-890 $969,-890 more than was charged last year. Since 1960, property taxes in Utah County have jumped $5,016,027, or 61. Schools are responsible for $9,293,150, or 70 of the entire en-tire county property tax load. This is more than was paid by the whole county just seven years ago in 1962 ($8,976,093). This is $412,934 more than was charged last year. Alpine schools went up $90,957, Ncbo $130,611. School levy The State Uniform School Levy dropped from 7.30 to 7.20 mills. Provo City's local school levy decreased from 49.87 to 49.78; Alpine remained unchanged un-changed at 47.25 as did Nebo at 46.95 mills.
