Show SHS "Senior of the Week' The Justice Department and selective service director Lewis B. Hershey announced a planned plan-ned check-up on draft violators. The new ruling will not involve draft registrants in "lawful protest activities." Donella Brown, named "Senior "Sen-ior Student of the Week," is a daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Ken- neth Brown of Mapleton. She was first runnerup for Girls' Nation at Girls' State last June and she was one of two chosen for Springville's "Utah Girl of the Year," last year. Treasurer of the senior class, she is also president of the Thespian Club and has been a member of CAA and the a cap-pella cap-pella choir, two years. Donella had the lead in the high school production of "The Sound of Music," and had the lead also in her ward play. Her interests include medicine and music. She sings with her sisters and others. Her grade point average is 3.72. She is a graduate of seminary and served as historian histor-ian in her junior year. She has earned five Individual Awards in her ward. She plans to attend at-tend BYU and major in dental hygiene, after high school graduation. Donella Brown |
