Show Map!eton dept. has fine record The Mapleton Volunteer Fire Department chaulked up a fine record the past year, keeping damage from fires to a minimum, mini-mum, according to report by Chief Wave Miguel. The department responded to a total of 67 fires, four of which were home fires. Property Prop-erty damage was estimated at $2000 for the year. There were 2 trash fires, three resusitator calls, one first aid, eight county fires, and one on a piece of farm equipment. Of a membership of 25, an average of 20 firemen responded respon-ded to each call. Walter Newman expressed his appreciation to the Springville Fire Department this week for their quick response re-sponse to his two recent calls. The most recent was Tuesday morning, to his wife (Mildred) who was removed to the LDS Hospital, Salt Lake City. The department also responded re-sponded to his wife's mother, Mrs. Nellie Anderson, stricken strick-en the latter part of Dec. |
