Show Airman based in Alabama with Air Force U. S. Air Force Captain Verl K. Diamond, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis B. Diamond of 184 West 4 North, Springville, is attending the Air University's Squadron Officer School- at Maxwell AFB, Ala. Captain Diamond, who previously pre-viously served as a C-141 Star-lifter Star-lifter pilot at McChord AFB, Wash., will receive 14 weeks of instruction at the senior USAF professional school. The captain will study communicative com-municative skills, leadership, international relations, duties and responsibilities of the command-staff team, and aerospace aero-space doctrine and employment. employ-ment. He is accompanied by his wife, the former Joan L. Hen- derson and their children, Brian 4, and Diane, 2. Mrs. Diamond is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Henderson of 164 South 3 East, Rexburg, Idaho. Captain Diamond has served in Vietnam. A graduate of Springville High School, he received his B. A. degree in agricultural economics in 1961 at Utah State University, where he was commissioned in 1961 upon completion of the Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps program. He is a member mem-ber of Alpha Gamma Rho. Lt. Col. and Mrs. Harry Rising Ri-sing were featured speakers at the monthly dinner meeting of Ti-Ute Chapter of American Business Women's Association, Tuesday evening, in Provo. A vocational talk was also given by Shirley Wi'son of Spanish Fork. Several members attend-' attend-' ed from Springville. |
