Show Fish planting being made Early fish plants from Department De-partment of Fish and Game hatcheries are being made into in-to several lower elevation waters wa-ters as these waters warm up and begin to produce food. These early fish plants are providing improved fishing at some areas and provide space for the fish at hatcheries where they are overcrowded this time of year. Planting of 60,000 rainbow trout three to five inches long is scheduled for Flaming Gorge May 1. Lake Powell is scheduled sched-uled to receive its planting of fish this fall. Five million walleye eggs are expected to be received soon. These fish will be stocked in Willard Bay Reservoir as soon as they are hatched out. |
