Defections rise so among Vietcong. ; A statement from Harrison Conover, Utah County Assessor, calls attention to the fact that some firms have failed to file a personal property and inventory inven-tory tax return as required and which was due on or before February 8th. All merchants, individuals, firms, contractors and others engaged in commercial or industrial in-dustrial enterprises, h a v ing equipment or salable merchandise merchan-dise are required to report same as of January 1st, each year. New business firms or individuals getting started are sometimes not aware of this report, which must be filed in January, following the opening of their business. Reporting forms are mailed each December, Decem-ber, but failure to receive such forms does not excuse filing. Forms are available in the county assessor's office. The information given on these reports should be complete com-plete and accurate, and conform con-form to reports of Federal and State Income tax returns. They are subject to examination at any time by County or State Tax auditors. Mr. Conover also expressed appreciation for consideration and patience of the many people peo-ple during the license rush. Although Al-though staffed with some new and inexperienced help, the work was carried forward without with-out untimely delay or confusion confu-sion and the public cooperation was most noteworthy. |
