Show Women's Golf Association plans luncheon, golf play on Thursdays Women golfers are reminded that every Thursday is their day at Springville Hobble Creek Golf Course. Each Thursday morning until un-til 1 p.m. all male players will be excluded from play on the course so that the femninie swingers might enjoy themselves them-selves in a leisure round of golf and companionship. Whether Whe-ther or not the female golfer holds a membership with the Women's Golfing Association or not, she is invited to participate par-ticipate at this time. Any other time of the week, she will have to take her own chances of get- ting on the course, Mr. Braun, golf pro, admits. The Women's Golf Association Associa-tion has been formed to encourage en-courage women to join in the fun and if they need to learn from scratch, this will be an opportunity for them also. Membership is $5.00 and will entitle anyone desiring to enter tourney play, to do so. There are no requirements to participate partici-pate in a tourney, it was pointed point-ed out by the officers, however. If a member plans to play in a tourney she must establish a handicap score. There will be daily prizes given which might be for low net on even holes; best score, most bogeys, most 6's on nine holes, throw out three worst holes, most 3's, 4's, 5's, longest ball, most putts, fewest putts etc. Dues will Include Ladies Day prizes and trophies. Special luncheon Thursday, May 4, following the regular golfing hours, and until 2 p.m. the Women's Golf Association will serve luncheon at Kelly's Grove. All ladies interested in golf are Invited to participate during the morning morn-ing and stay for the luncheon. |
