After viewing conservation slides shown by Ranger Don Ward Friday night, the boys and leaders assisted in planting 5000 bitter brush seedlings in Munk's Hollow on Saturday. Five foot trenches had been previously dug by the Forest Service to receive the seedlings. The Scouts are now being encouraged in a project to plant seedlings seed-lings in cans as a project for later planting in a conservation conserva-tion program, according to Scouter Byron Cottom, chairman. |
