Freeman Bird of this city announce the marriage of their daughter, Lorna, to Stephen Kroge Taylor, Tay-lor, son of Mr .and Mrs. Henry D. Taylor of Salt Lake City. The ceremony was performed by the groom's father, assistant assist-ant to the Council of Twelve ...... si ia in the Salt The couple are making their home in Provo, where both are employed. They are also enrolled en-rolled at BYU and the groom will receive his degree next month. He has also filled an LDS mission to Germany. A number of pre-nuptial events honored the bride and Aposues, j--. Lake Temple. Later Apostle and Mrs. Taylor hosted a wedding wed-ding breakfast in the president's presi-dent's room of Hotel Utah, for approximately 50 members ofj the Taylor and Bird families. In the evening, an informal, wedding party for close rela-j tives and friends, honored the coup'.e at the home of the bride's sister and brother-in-law, Lynne and Richard Wright. ! The bride was beautifully attired at-tired in a white silk organdy over poie de soi with panels of lace on the floor-length skirt It was designed with empire waist and short sleeves. She carried a bridal bouquet of white daisies and the same flowers formed a crown for her full floor-length veil. , She was attended by her sis-toro sis-toro TVTV Tfnv Wisnnmbe and LuAnn Bird and by Sheryl Carter. They wore pink silk formals with mum corsages. Mrs. Bird chose a melon-colored knit for the reception and Mrs. Taylor white linen with orchid corsages. Peter Olsen of Beverly Hills, Calif., was best man to the groom. Phil Bird, Henry D. Taylor, Jr., were ushers. Greeting guests at the door were Mr. and Mrs. Wright and Mr and Mrs. Walter Bird. Refreshments were served by Jeannette Strong, Jan Ollerton, Mary Jane Jones and Merlyn Grobe. Mrs. Phil Bird was hostess. hos-tess. Barbara Metcalf and Brenda Condie assisted with the gifts. |
