Show Game officials to enforce new litter law April is Litter Control Month in Utah according to a declaration declara-tion issued by Governor Calvin L. Rampton and before the month is over, it is hoped all citizens of the State will note this declaration and do their part in keeping Utah's recreation recrea-tion areas clean throughout the year ahead. The Conservation Officers of the Utah State Department of Fish and Game along with other oth-er officers will be enforcing a new litter law as enacted by the State Legislature. House Bill 141 states: "It shall be unlawful for any person to throw, deposit, or discard, dis-card, or to permit to be dropped, drop-ped, thrown, deposited, or discarded dis-carded upon any public road, highway, park, recreation area or public or private land, any glass, nails, tacks, wire, cans, barbed wire, boards, trash or garbage, or any other substance which would or could mar or impair the scenic aspect or beauty of such land in the State of Utah whether under private, state, county, municipal munici-pal or federal ownership without with-out the permission of the owner, own-er, . or person having control or custody of the land."
