Show Miss Mary Jane Friel is wed to Thomas Dee Reece, Payson Announcement is made this week of the marriage of Miss Mary Jane Friel, daughter of Mrs. Mary Friel of this city and the late David Friel, to Thomas Thom-as Dee Reece, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas G. Reece of Pay-son. Pay-son. The ceremony was performed by Bishop N. Halvor Madsen, uncle of the bride, at the First-Twelfth First-Twelfth Ward, Saturday early evening. Craig Harmer was ring bearer. The ceremony was followed fol-lowed by a reception for relatives rela-tives and friends. The newly-weds newly-weds left shortly after for a honeymoon to Las Vegas and are presently at home in Provo. Pro-vo. For her wedding the bride chose a white delustered satin gown with over-lace on the skirt and lace appliques trimming trim-ming the bodice and detachable detach-able train. She was attended by Mrs. Kent Gourley, matron of honor and Marilyn Gale, maid of honor, hon-or, both of whom were attired in red brocade floor-length gowns while Peggy Ollerton, Patricia Hurd and Mrs. Don Young, attendants, and Sandra San-dra Harmer and Rebecca Friel, flower girls, were all in pink. Their flowers were balls of pink mums attached with pink velvet ribbon. Mrs. Friel chose a pink and white linen dress for her daughter's wedding and Mrs. Reece wore pink also. Their corsages were pink and white mums with red ribbon. Don Young was best man and Boyd Friel of Salt Lake, brother bro-ther of the bride, stood with his mother in the line. Dr. and Mrs. Jay Harmer and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sperry greeted guests at the door. Serving were Kathy Curtis, Lynette Hall, Jeanne Vane, Claudia Boyle, Nancy Reece, and Bonnie Dubois. Mrs. Wells Hansen and Mrs. C. L. Jenkins Jen-kins acted as hostesses. Emphasizing the color theme was a pretty 3-tiered wedding cake in pink and white topped with three lace covered wedding wed-ding bells. Throughout the even ing, background music was by Mary Bird at the Hammond organ overwhich hung a huge basket bas-ket of flowers in the color theme of the reception. Jr. M Men car wash Second Ward Jr. M Men will hold a car wash Saturday from 9 to 12 noon at the Second Ward parking lot. Money derived de-rived from the project will go toward sports equipment for the group. |
