Show Drive to raise funds continues; many visitors see paintings dance one long to be remembered. remem-bered. It will be at this time that the grand sweepstakes prize of a trip to Laguna Beach, Calif., and other major prizes will be announced. As the 43rd annual National April Art Exhibit approaches the final week, memberships in the Springville Fine Arts Association which will make a bigger and better art project, are coming in fast, Chairman Jack Allen reported this week. The house-to-house canvass by federated women's clubs and service men's organizations Saturday, Sat-urday, proved successful as have other phases of the membership mem-bership drive, Mr. Allen reported. re-ported. One morning this week, more than fifty memberships were received in the mail and others are expected daily as out-of-town residents and alumni of the high school become aware of the need for the $15,000 quota, quo-ta, it is stated. Letters to alumni and other citizens have gone out in the mail the 'past week. The art gallery has had the nsiml Tnrp"p proline: cif visitors during the month and many organizations or-ganizations both from in town and out of town have scheduled meetings at the galleries to give their members an opportunity oppor-tunity to see the art. One of the largest events is the state Kiwanis banquet this evening at which clubmen attend at-tend from all parts of the state. Lectures are given each evening eve-ning for those interested in hearing about the art from teachers and art critics. These meetings begin at 7 p.m. Probably the largest event in connection with the exhibit will be the public dance to which a membership in the Fine Arts Association will be the admission admis-sion ticket.
