David Bird Busy is the best adjective to describe this week's "Senior Student of the Week." He is David Bird, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Reed Bird, 500 East Aaron Avenue. Active in many school functions and clubs, he is a member of the Physics and Athletic Clubs. He is a three year letterman, playing football, foot-ball, basketball, and tennis. He served as co-captain for last year's tennis team. This year he is announcing the action at all home games. David is editing this year's "L Artiste" year book and promises it is going to be the biggest and best ever. He has spent many hours thus far, developing, de-veloping, printing and making lay-outs. His efforts and hard work is greatly appreciated by the entire student body. David is also an academic asset to SHS. He was Junior Class Scholar last year, earning earn-ing nearly a straight A average. aver-age. He has been asked to attend at-tend the Invitational Science Lectures at University of Utah for the past two years. Active in the LDS Church, he is a member of the Tenth Ward. He graduated from seminary sem-inary last year and is currently current-ly a fourth-year student. He is a priest in his ward and has earned five individual awards. He played on the Tenth Ward Junior M Men team that went to the All-Church Tournament. After graduation, he plans to attend BYU four years and |
