Show lAray sets up hot rales and regulations ; In order to maintain the best possible reading and studying conditions at the public library, it has become necessary to formulate for-mulate certain rules and regulations regu-lations which will be strictly enforced beginning January 3. They are as follows: BOOK CIRCULATION Adult borrowers Adult borrowers (9th grade and above) : Approved applicants will be issued identification cards which must be presented whenever when-ever a book is checked' out. ' Cards will remain in the possession pos-session of the patron. Childrens' cards Children's cards will be kept in the library and checked out with the books. ! Books may be kept for three weeks with no renewals. Books in great demand will be circulated on a temporary ! seven-day basis. No renewals. A fine of two cents per day will be imposed for each book overdue. j Pamphlets, magazines, and other non-book materials will : be checked out for one week. No renewals. I Patrons will be charged for I lost or damaged books accord- i ing to the amount of damage or the cost of replacement. J GENERAL LIBRARY RULES Quiet-room, typewriters and telephone may be used by patrons pa-trons only with the permission of the librarian. Patrons may be asked to leave the library for: excesive talking, use of abusive language, lan-guage, bringing food or drinks j into the library, any rowdi-ness rowdi-ness or behavior which deprives other patrons, of their use or enjoyment of the library. Repeated offenders may be excluded from further library service for a period of time to be determined by the librarian. I: I |
