Show Services held Wednesday for Alton R. Snow Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the First-Twelfth Ward Chapel, for Alton Roswell Snow, 62, well-known well-known Springville resident, who died Saturday, December 24, 1966, at the LDS Hospital, Salt Lake City, following a long illness. ill-ness. He resided at 200 W. 800 South. Bishop Don Watts of the Twelfth Ward, conducted the services. Burial was in the Provo Pro-vo City Cemetery, directed by Wheeler Mortuary. Mr. Snow was born in Provo, March 14, 1904, a son of Roswell Ros-well and Mary Alice Halladay Snow. He received his education in Provo City schools and was employed in the Provo City waterworks wa-terworks department and at the Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Company. Later, in Springville, he engaged in farming far-ming and .cattle raising and organized or-ganized and operated the Snow Dairy until retirement due to ill health. He was also associated associ-ated with the Town Pride Dairy, and was serving as president pres-ident of both when he retired. He was a member of the Springville Chamber of Commerce Com-merce and his hobbies were hunting, fishing and horseback riding. He was a member of the LDS Church. He is survived by his wife, Julina (Julie) Harris, whom he married April 23, 1928, and five sons and daughters, Boyd A. Snow and Robert D. Snow of Springville; Nadine Hales, Mrs. LaMar (Delia) Graves and Mrs. Terry (Marilyn) Barney all of Granger; also 19 grandchildren; grand-children; a brother and three sisters, Earl Snow, Mrs. A. L. (Delva) Johnson, Salt Lake City; Mrs. W. L. (Lucille) Mann, Semi, Calif.; Mrs. H. K. (Reava) Newton, Provo. |
