Show John Holley, Dr. and Mrs. John Whiteley and family of Salt Lake and Miss Wanda Holley of Salt Lake. The Olsens plan to visit a daughter and son-in-law in Portland, Oregon, before be-fore returning to their home in Fort Collins, Colorado. Mapleton News Mrs. Blake Everett Wendell Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jensen, Injured some time ago in a swimming accident at Mapleton, has been home since around Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing from the University of Utah Hospital, Salt Lake. A group of neighbors at Mapleton Ma-pleton enjoyed a progressive party Christmas night stopping at the various homes for one course of a delicious supper. The party concluded at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gividen, where games were also al-so played. Participating in the party were: Mr. and Mrs. Dick Bills, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bulow, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Poulsen, Mr. and Mrs. Clip Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Warren, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. N orman Barker, Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Blackham. Spending the holidays at Mapleton Ma-pleton are Mrs. Melva Dean Oberhansley and three children who came from California and are the house guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. LaVell Bird. Terry Jensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernell Jensen, based at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, is spending the Christmas holidays holi-days with his parents at Mapleton. Maple-ton. The entire family of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Harmer gathered at their home on Christmas Day. A lovely dinner was served early in the afternoon to Mr. and Mrs. Reed Clegg and children child-ren of Hartford, Connecticut; Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Harwood Everett. They are also visiting with her parents in Ogden. Mrs. Beth Olsen is recuperating recuperat-ing from an illness at her home. She spent two weeks in the Utah Valley Hospital for treatment and observation. Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Olsen and children arrived from a year's stay in Australia to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Holley shortly before Christmas. Christ-mas. On the way home, they visited with her sister and family, fam-ily, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Menden-hall Menden-hall at Temple View, New Zealand, and spent a few days in Hawaii. In Los Angeles, they visited with her brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Holley. Mr. and Mrs. Mack Holley were hosts at a family dinner in Spanish Fork on Tuesday in honor of the Olsens. Ol-sens. Other family members attending at-tending were Mr. and Mrs. and children of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Steve Nelson of Hemet, California; Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Lloyd and children of Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Woffinden of Payson; Mr. and Mrs. Ennis Woffinden and children, Benjamin; Mrs. Dorothy Dor-othy Nelson of Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Harmer and children of Mapleton. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Allan spent the Christmas weekend with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr .and Mrs. Roger Taylor Tay-lor and two children in Little Sioux, Iowa. They made the trip by plane. Mrs. Vanda Jensen's family all visited at her home during the Christmas holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Chipman and family of Bountiful spent two days with her. Other family members who visited were Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Laird and family of Orem; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jensen and family and Mr. and Mrs. Duane Jensen and family of Mapleton. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Ellis visited vis-ited with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ross Ellis on Christmas. Gary is home from Fort Lewis, Washington for a two week's furlough. They are staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Thorn while he is here. The high priests of the Mapleton Ma-pleton First Ward went Christmas Christ-mas caroling to the rest home, to the widows of high priests living in the ward and to all the shut-ins. They were still enjoying themselves so much that the caroling was continued to the wives of all those participating. par-ticipating. The evening was concluded with a party at the home of Dr. Kenneth Brown, with their wives. Refreshments were served to thirty. Dr. Brown was in charge of arrangements ar-rangements for the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Everett of Mesa, Arizona, and baby daughter, are spending the Christmas holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse |
