Show Playoff tonight in Bantams; tickets on sale Bantam basketball players are now selling tickets for the crippled children's benefit program pro-gram which is scheduled for Feb. 26 at the Springville High School gym. Proceeds will go to those children who are less fortunate than those participat-ing participat-ing in the sport and who are I suffering from crippling deformity. de-formity. The National Guard sponsors the event annually. The playoff games will be played every hour beginning at 8 a.m. and running to 5 p.m. The Springville .championship game will be played at 12 noon. Members of the teams are selling tickets to the contests con-tests and at the same time are working for prizes. These prizes do not come out of the ticket sales, but come from entry fees that each team pays. Games tonight begin at 6:30 with Third Ward Rams meeting meet-ing Ninth Ward Badgers, for third place in Springville Stake; the championship game will follow at 7:30 with the Tenth Ward Lions playing the Seventh Ward Jets. |
