The Commission also disapproved disap-proved an application for a game farm permit to hold deer in captivity because of the possibility pos-sibility of communication of diseases. They also authorized Acting Director Bud Phelps to continue his work Fish and Game funds will carry to June Utah's five man Fish and Game Commission met in Salt Lake City last week to consider consid-er several matters of important business. One of the major items of business on the agenda was a financial report given to the Commissioners by Arnold F. Carr, the Department's chief fiscal officer. Carr reported that the Department's present funds and the anticipated revenue rev-enue to next June would not be sufficient to cover the scheduled Departm e n t programs pro-grams through June 30, 1966. Because of the financial outlook, out-look, the Department would have to cut back some of its scheduled programs. It was noted that the Department was already operating far under its authorized strength as far as numbers of personnel was concerned. In other action, the Commission Commis-sion expressed interest in the proposed purchase of conservation conserva-tion pools in Pelican Lake and |
