Show Former resident dies in SLC Funeral services were held Tuesday in Salt Lake City, for Freeman Victor Devenish, 46, a former resident of Spring-ville, Spring-ville, who died Friday, December Decem-ber 31, 1965, in a Salt Lake Hospital. He had served with the Salt Lake Police Department Depart-ment for 18 years. Mr. Devenish was born Nov. 25, 1919, in Springville, son of Timothy Richard and Essie Roylance Devenish. He married mar-ried Norma Taylor, Feb. 17, 1940, in Evanston, Wyo. He was a graduate of Springville High School. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 3586 and the Moose Lodge. He was a member of the LDS Church in the Salt Lake Imeprial Ward. Survivors include his widow; a son and daughter, Victor B.J Salt Lake City; Mrs. Roger (Pamela) Land, Comptoh, California; Cal-ifornia; stepfather, Joseph Del-bert Del-bert Johnson, Springville; one grandchild; brothers and a sister: sis-ter: William Richard, Bernard R., both Springville; Timothy Glade, Carmichael, Calif.;. Mrs. Norma Martinach, Granger; half brother, Joseph Delbert Johnson Jr., Springville.
