Show 80th birthday celebrated at family dinner Mrs. Olive Kartchner, celebrated cele-brated her 80th birthday, Saturday, Sat-urday, March 13, with a dinner din-ner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Claud J. Hill. Guests in-Mr. in-Mr. and Mrs. Mart Merritt, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Webb, Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Lee, Mr. &Mrs. William Wil-liam Woods, r. and Mrs. Jack Curtis, Mrs. Linda Jacob, Mr and Mrs. Newell Webb; also Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Holm of Spanish Fork, Mr. and Mrs. Ottos Vincent and John Blath-ran Blath-ran of Provo. Mrs. Kartchner maintains her own apartment at 211 No. Main Street and for past time, she does temple work and makes quilts and rugs for her family. She also participates in Senior Citizen activities. Mrs. Kartchner is a native of Heber, Arizona, born March 13, 1885. She lived there until she was 16 years of age, when she was married to Melvin Webb and they moved to southern Utah. She became a mother to his three small sons and they had ten other children. child-ren. She endured the hardships of early settlement days in the pioneer community of Cir-cleville. Cir-cleville. Mr. Webb died in 1925 when the youngest of their 13 children was three years old. After her children were grown, Mrs. Webb was married to Dode Diamond of Springville. Spring-ville. She has done considerable traveling in recent years, having hav-ing done work in nine LDS temples including the one in Hawaii. Several years ago she toured New York and other eastern states. Besides ten living children, Mrs. Kartchner has 28 grand-chi grand-chi cren and 75 great grandchildren grand-children and five great great grandchildren. |
