Show Senior 'Students of the Week' Two more students join the ranks this week of senior "Students "Stud-ents of the Week." They are Bonnie Barney, daughter of V . I J 1 J -3 1 :-f?V' , J Bonnie Barney Richard Moon Arnold A. and Beth H. Barney and Richard Moon, son of Myr-then Myr-then N. and Irene M. Moon. Bonnie has a 3.69 grade ir school and Richard's grade point average is 3.67. Bonnie has taken prominent part in extra-curricular activities activi-ties at school, serving on the Pep Club, the U. N. Club, she heads the varsity cheerleaders cheer-leaders and was in the Ski Club last year. She is serving on the coordinating coord-inating council at the high school and was home room representative rep-resentative during her junior year and student body secretary secre-tary in junior high. A seminary graduate, she teaches a Sunday School class and has won four individual awards for her church work. Present plans are to attend BYU Nursing School preparatory prepara-tory to receiving an RN degree. Richard Moon Richard has an enviable record re-cord in his school studies especially es-pecially in the field of art. He is a member of the Physics Club and has served in the U.N. Club. His talent as an artist has been utilized in decorating for the Sophomore Carnival, the Sweetheart Ball and Assembly, As-sembly, and the Junior Prom when he did a 116-foot mural. Last year he took second place in the Aureole Club's outstanding outstand-ing art student contest, and in the Federated Women's Clubs' art contest. He also took honors hon-ors in the high school art contest con-test at Granite High last year. In February his painting "The Saddle" won a place in the first open Utah art show in Springville. Spring-ville. He took first place in the American Legion speech contest con-test in Springville and second . in the district. He also took first in the city and third in the district in the Legion Auxiliary-sponsored Poppy Poster Contest. In church, he serves as chorister at Priesthood meetings meet-ings and has served as president presi-dent and secretary for deacon and teacher quorums. He has also earned six individual awards.
