Show Mapieton News Mrs. Blake Everett Phone 489-4837 Calvin and Marie Hjorth and their baby daughter moved to Salt Lake last week. Calvin is planning to attend the U. of U. this winter. Mr. and Mrs. Maynard White (Ann Court) of Rose-mond, Rose-mond, Calif, have returned to their home after spending a week visiting with her parents par-ents Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Court. They also visited with his parents par-ents in Orem and spent a day at the State Fair. Chester Wright is recuperating recuperat-ing at home from a back injury in-jury he received a couple of weeks ago. He was on a surveying sur-veying job in Delta, when he fell, causing a painful injury to his back. Terry Hjorth son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hjorth, who is serving an LDS Mission in the Eastern States, was recently made supervising elder in Lexington, Lex-ington, Kentucky. He was laboring la-boring in Oak Ridge,. Tennessee prior to being sent to Lexington. Lexing-ton. Terry has been in the mission mis-sion field a year in Sept. The Needlecraft Club held their opening social of the season sea-son Thursday afternoon on the beautiful back lawn of Mrs. Arlina Holley. A pot luck lunch was served from tables that were attractively decor ated with fall flowers. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Holley have had houseguests from Santa Rosa, California this week. Nell and Vern Swart-fager, Swart-fager, who have been friends of the Holleys for many years came to attend the funeral of Mrs. Swartfager's brother, Frank Clark. They will spend several days visiting with relatives rel-atives here. Tom Bona, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bona, recently graduated from Aviation Machinist's Ma-chinist's Mate Jet Engine School, , Naval Air Technical Training Center, Memphis, Tenn. Tom has been in the navy since January, taking his basic training in San Diego. Since graduating from this training school in Tenn., he has been stationed at Lemoor, Calif., which will be his home base. Mapieton Ward Relief Society Soci-ety will hold their annual opening op-ening social Tuesday, October 6. This will also be the regular regu-lar theology and visiting teacher tea-cher day.
