' - i A 11 i , Springville and Mapleton PTA officers, city officials and other business and civic leaders, meeting at the high school Tuesday evening, passed a motion unanimously endorsing endors-ing the redisricting of Nebo IB School District for the election elec-tion of school board members, as proposed by a committee appointed by the Utah County Commissioners. Announcement was also made following the meeting that the group plans to take action to see that the proposal is carried out in as much as it would more evenly divide the districts. The redistricting proposal was made following considerable consider-able study and consultation. It would distribute votes more evenly according to population. The new proposal lists Springville Spring-ville voting districts 1 to 7 inclusive, in-clusive, in Area 1, with 2936 votes; Springville districts 8 and 9, Mapleton and Spanish Fork district 4 and 5, in area 2, with 2721 votes; Spanish Fork districts 1 to 7 inclusive, also with Palmyra, Clinton, Colton and Thistle, a total of 2744 votes; Payson, (West Mountain) and Spring Lake, Area 4; 2540 votes and Goshen, Go-shen, Santaquin, Genola, Salem, Sa-lem, Benjamin, Lake Shore, Elberta, Area 5, 2165 votes. Present precincts and number num-ber of registeredvoters are listed as follows (one board member coming from each area) ar-ea) ; Precinct 1, Springville's nine 'districts, 3,994 voters; Spanish Fork-Palmyra, No. 2, 3580 voters; Mapleton, Salem, Benjamin, Lake Shore, No. 3, 2022 voters; Payson six 'districts, 'dis-tricts, 2348 voters; Goshen, Alberta, Al-berta, Dividend, Genola, Santaquin, San-taquin, Spring Lake, 1,049 voters.
