Show Firemen called to two blazes A fire in a truck motor Tuesday morning brought the Springville firemen to the intersection in-tersection of 400 S. and Main St. When firemen arrived at the scene the driver of the large vehicle, Earl Burningham of Provo had pulled into Miner's, Service Station, 489 South Main, where an attendant had doused the blaze. Mr. Burningham told firemen fire-men the truck had backfired when he stopped at the inter- section and ignited the carburetor. carbur-etor. No estimate bf damages was given by Springville firemen. The fire department responded re-sponded also to an alarm early Monday morning when chicken coop belonging to Thayne Laney, near the City Cemetery, burned. Children and matches are believed responsible for the blaze which did between $300 and $400 damage. There was no insurance. |
