Show Club chairman plans for student exhibit Mrs. Oscar Knudsen of Price, state art chairman of the Utah Federated Women's Clubs, this week, announced the annual art competition for Utah high school seniors at the Springville Art Center. Entries will be judged April 17 and exhibited April 18 in the Little Theater Room, Mrs. Knudsen said. The contest is sponsored by the Utah Federated Women's Clubs and Hallmark Greeting Card Co. Work from schools will be displayed. The winning painting paint-ing will be entered in the women's wo-men's clubs national art talent tal-ent contest. National prizes include $1, 000 for first; $750 for second and $600 for third place. Prizes also will be awarded by the Federated Women's clubs, Mrs. Knudsen said. Judges are Paul Salisbury, Provo artist, Floyd Breinholt, art teacher at BYU and Mrs. Knudsen. Hostess for the exhibit will be Mrs. Inez Chader, Springville. Spring-ville. Ladies Republican Club Members of the Ladies Republican Re-publican Club will m-et at the home of Mrs. Hovard Clegg, 960 Hillcrest Drivj, April 16. The meeting begins at 2:30 p.m., and will feature Ernest Eberhardt as the speaker. All are invited. ' V . |
