Show Stand taken on Jitterbugs' Residents living along 4th North and 4th West streets, complain of "litterbugs" leaving leav-ing unsightly rubbish napkins, nap-kins, paper cups, cartons and beer cans have been strewn about until the street resembles resem-bles the city dump, according to local police officers. Litterbugging has reached a point where the police department depart-ment has taken a hard stand. All littered areas are being patrolled and citations will be issued to anyone in violation of the Litter Ordinance (a fine of $299 is imposed for litter violation) . Additionally neighbors neigh-bors who live in these areas are taking license numbers of parked vehicles and if debris is found to have been discarded discard-ed by occupants of the vehicle, complaints will be signed against them. This is "City Beautification Week." May this notice serve as a reminder that keeping Springville beautiful is not for a week's duration nor for a month's, but is the duty of all of us all of the time. . |
