Show Local ladies heard on radio program Two local homemakers were featured in an interview with Margaret Masters on radio, Friday afternoon. Loeen Whiting Whit-ing of Mapleton and Hortense Harward went to Salt Lake to consult Mrs. Masters about a potato demonstration they were planning to give. She was so impressed when she heard of all the bread-making demonstrations demon-strations these women have given that she had their visit put on tape and it was on the radio later in the day on her show with Marshall Small, called "Cross Roads." The two sisters, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Cran-dall, Cran-dall, have given forty demonstrations demon-strations on making bread, hot rolls and all kinds of fancy sweet rolls. They have shown their skill in this line in every ward in Springville and Kolob Stakes and many wards in Pro-vo Pro-vo and Spanish Fork. They have also appeared before many clubs and last spring they were asked to demonstrate demon-strate af the Homemakers convention con-vention at the BYTJ, where about three hundred women watched them perform their art of turning dough into all kinds of delicious delicacies. Margaret Masters expressed a desire to come down and watch one of their baking bees. |
