Show Chamber heads fake office,.. Toronto talks . Secretary of State, Lamont F. Toronto, was the featured speaker at the annual Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce installation banquet held Friday night at the Westside Elementaray School. Past President, Mays Anderson, was in charge of the meeting and LuDean Lister was toastmaster. Installed at the meeting was Wilber Snelson, manager of J. C. Penney Co., in Springville, as president; Jim Damico as vice presiden; and the following directors: J. Melvin Duke, Milan Mil-an Packard, C. O. Ward, George Wright, Bill Ruff, Martin Mar-tin Conover and Jim, Peay. Hold-over directors, include: Kelly Jensen, La Veil Brown, Don Robertson, Floyd Stewart and Mays Anderson. Music for the evening w?" furnished by the Musettes wit?i Elaine Puckett as accompanist' Mr. Toronto noted that 'no organization is any stronger than the members therein. , He also stated that the biggest problem in government today, state, local or federal, is a lack of efficiency of employees employ-ees because of over staffing. |
