Show Parowan youth arrested PAROWAN A Parowan youth has been arrested and charged for the burglary of a Parowan service station. Michael Vincent Lujan, 18, Parowan, was picked up Sunday night by Parowan Police Officer David Hintze shortly after 11:30 p.m. Hintze explained that he was patroling in the area of Ron's 66 using a spot light and said that he saw somebody in the back yard of a home in the vicinity. Thinking it odd for someone to be out at 11:30 p.m. he turned around to get a better look, but didn't see anyone. Suspecting trouble, Hintze then drove past Ron's 66 where he noticed that a window had been shattered with a brick and that the door was ajar. Hintze explained that within five minutes, after searching the neighborhood, neigh-borhood, the suspect seen ea rlier wa s f ound a nd had contraband, suspected to be from the station in his possession. After being taken to the Iron County Jail, Lujan was arraigned before Ninth Circuit Court Judge Christian Ronnow who set bail at $2,000. A preliminary trial is still pending. |
